East Asia Institute (EAI) is hosting the KF-EAI Korea Friendship project, sponsored by Korea Foundation (KF) and Samyang Holdings Corporation, offering educational and networking opportunities to international students residing in Korea.
Kim, Ae-Ran, a novelist, gave a lecture about space and young people in the literary novel. She explained that places where characters reside in her novels are limited to, for example, a room in city or a subway on the way home. She mentioned that this represents young people’s life today. Also, she revealed her principles as an author: When writing, she tries to focus on giving readers an opportunity to think for themselves, rather than imposing her own opinion.
