On May 24th, 2018, the East Asia Institute held an expert roundtable with Dr. Michael O’Hanlon of the Brookings Institution to discuss the circumstances surrounding the Korean Peninsula. Experts analyzed the changing security situation on the Korean Peninsula and the complex diplomatic situation that has developed around the North and South. The participants focused on ways to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue and cooperate with neighboring countries, including drawing upon the Korea-US alliance, to develop peace processes.
