The Next Generation Conference was held at the Kukdo Hotel on 10th October as a part of the KF-EAI Korea Friendship Project “Communicus”. The three conference presenters were chosen from among this year’s Korea Friendship participants after rigorous evaluation of their research proposals by renowned scholars from EAI’s knowledge network. Professor Jae Hyeok Shin of Korea University moderated the conference, which included presentations of the selected themes and a discussion panel made up of undergraduate and graduate students who are former EAI interns.
Mr. Bingjun Li (University of Seoul) received the grand award for his presentation, "Housing Culture that Represents Social and Periodical Changes in Korea: Why, Only in Korea Did the Lease System (Jeonsae) Develop in the Way it Did?", and Mr. Erkhodjaev Kamoliddin (Academy of Korean Studies) received the second place prize for his presentation, "Why has South Korea Been Dubbed the “Most Stressed” Country in the World?"
