East Asia Institute (EAI) is hosting the KF-EAI Korea Friendship project, sponsored by Korea Foundation (KF) and Samyang Holdings Corporation, offering educational and networking opportunities to international students residing in Korea.
Member of the National Assembly, Na, Kyung-Won, started the lecture by introducing Korea’s political system. She revealed that her goal as a politician is to contribute to solving discrimination toward minorities and the disadvantaged. Also, she stressed that the current 20th National Assembly carries a responsibility to prepare for the upcoming 4th industrial revolution by institutional and legal developments. The Assembly will, also, have to play a role in preparing the future for the next generation. She stressed that politicians should not think only about re-election, but also be genuine politicians. Lastly, she claimed the importance of expanding women’s political participation.
