JEAS to Begin New Partnership with Cambridge University Press
EAI is proud to announce that, given its rising prestige, the Journal of East Asian Studies (JEAS) will be published by Cambridge University Press beginning in 2016. The newest issue of JEAS has also been released and contains research on first-past-the-post election rules and their impact on ethnic compromise in Myanmar, constituency services in Singapore as a means of mitigating the weakness of authoritarian institutions, when militaries support their government or citizens' challenges in Asia, the influence of domestic politics on U.S.-China trade disputes in alternative energy, and pro-government bias in Malaysian media.

Roundtable with Singaporean Ambassador to the ROK
EAI was proud to host the Singaporean Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, the Honorable YIP Wei Kiat, on December 8, 2015. A discussion was held with EAI President Sook-Jong Lee during which they discussed the current situation in East Asia and ways to promote cooperation between Singapore and Korea. pc   mobile
Recent Issues of the UCR Briefing and the UCR Forum
The October and November issues of the U.S.-China Briefing were recently publish and summarize critical issues in Sino-U.S relations. Additionally, EAI will be held the first Forum on the Future of U.S.-China Relations during which EAI interns who assist in preparation of the UCR Briefing will share their views on the direction of U.S.-China relations. pc   mobile
Interns Discuss Future of ROK-US Relations and Unification
During their weekly seminar, EAI Interns met with Bryan Port, an advisor for Strategic the United States Forces Korea, to discuss the the younger generation's attitudes towards the ROK-US alliance and unification. pc   mobile
2016 EAI Scholarship Students to be Selected
EAI will select a new group of promising students for the purpose of nurturing and supporting the growth of the next generation of Korean leaders. Recipients will be selected from a pool of undergraduate students who face economic hardship yet, display outstanding potential in becoming future global leaders.
main EAI Sarangbang Visiting China
EAI Sarangbang, an educational program in which some of Korea's brightest students of international studies engage in weekly classes at EAI, is visiting China to conduct field work as a conclusion to this semester's program. After their visit, their research papers will be complied into an E-book and published.  (in Korean)
