International Students Celebrate a Successful Korea Friendship Program
The end of the Korea Foundation-EAI Korea Friendship Program was held with a gala event on December 2 at the Seoul Lotte Hotel. The year-long program was created to help educate international students who are conducting their studies in Korea. Over that time, 81 students from 44 countries participated in a series of lectures, conferences, and town-hall meetings. The students also had the oppor-tunity to be involved in roundtable discussions with ambassadors from five countries. At the gala, awards were given for excellent participation in the pro-gram, and the students enjoyed dinner with several artistic performances. The Friendship Program members have now formed the core group of an alumni network that will mentor and interact with future participants, creating lasting connections that will promote the ideas and values of the program.
