The eighth video of the ADRN “Sharing Our Practices for Better Governance” video interview series was produced by Yangon School of Political Science (YSPS) in Myanmar. The interview was conducted with Aye Mya Mya Myo, who is currently serving as a member of the Parliament for Kyauk Tan Constituency in Pyi Thu Hluttaw (Lower House). In this interview, Aye Mya Mya Myo explains how the parliament in Myanmar tries to make laws and policies to protect and promote people’s rights by frequently holding meetings and facilitating dialogues. Even though it is still at a nascent stage, Aye Mya Mya Myo is optimistic that the country is on its path to respecting people’s diverse views and helping the democratic practices to take root in the country.
