The U.S. and China are both engaged in the creation and modification of various international regimes for managing transnational issues, and the ebbing and swelling of cooperation and conflict within Sino-U.S. relations influences greatly the contents of these regimes and to what degree they are followed. During March 2016, these effects were very pronounced especially in the area of nuclear proliferation and the management of maritime disputes.
